This is a little out of our area, but just a short drive across the mountains and you’re on the dry side with some great opportunities for hatchery steelhead fishing.

WDFW announced yesterday that the upper Columbia river along with a few tribs are open to steelhead fishing on Wednesday, September 28th.

This includes the Methow river, which is a three hour drive from the Bellingham / Mt. Vernon area.
