WDFW just announced that they will be opening a coho fishery on the Wenatchee, Methow, and Icicle rivers, beginning October 5th. Apparently due to strong numbers of coho coming over the dams. The Methow and Wenatchee rivers haven’t had an open coho season in at least 30 years. Read the full release here. Link
Most fishing license costs will increase on September 1st, 2011. The amount of the increase hasn’t been announced yet, but the WDFW says that the new fees are expected to generate $8 million in additional revenues to be used for activities that support hunting and fishing.
