Salmon seasons set for Puget Sound; area waters expected to re-open to fishing

This news happened a couple weeks ago, and the permit still hasn’t been issued. Most puget sound rivers are still closed to fishing as of today. On May 26th state and Tribal leaders reached an agreement on fishing seasons, so rivers should be reopening soon. Stay tuned for more information.

Additional information is at http://wdfw.wa.gov/news/may2616b/  and, the 2016/17 regulation book is now available as well.  Here is a direct link. http://wdfw.wa.gov/publications/01818/wdfw01818.pdf

As always, be sure to read not only the regs, but also the emergency rules to make sure that nothing is effecting your fishery.
